Buccaneers linebacker Kwon Alexander left Sunday’s match against the Cleveland Browns at the end of the second quarter with a knee injury and will miss the remainder of the game.
Alexander, who was named as one of the team’s captains on Friday, stayed down on the field for a couple of minutes while getting attended to by team trainers but was able to walk off on his own. The fourth-year linebacker was replaced in the game by Adarius Taylor.
Before leaving the game Alexander was having one of his best outings of the season under new defensive coordinator Mark Duffner’s direction, making plays all over the field. Tampa Bay’s Pro Bowl linebacker finished his day with a total of seven tackles and a pass deflection.
