Faria Flashes Leather On Scorching Liner

ST. PETERSBURG (620 WDAE) -- Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jake Faria made one of the highlight catches of the 2018 season Tuesday, snaring a line drive off the bat of Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge in the third inning of a 1-0 contest.

According to Statcast, the line drive left Judge's bat at 109 MPH, and Faria put up his glove reflexively in time to make the catch and keep runners on the corners.

Rays manager Kevin Cash removed Faria from the game after the out, but both inherited runners would score in the inning.
