(via Tampa Bay Buccaneers Communications) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has been awarded defensive end Carl Nassib off of waivers from the Cleveland Browns. The team also announced that defensive end Will Clarke has been released.
Nassib (6-7, 275) originally entered the league as a third-round pick (65tth overall) by the Cleveland Browns in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has played in 30 career games, with 15 starts, totaling 52 tackles (11 for loss), nine passes defensed and 5.5 sacks. A native of Malvern, Pennsylvania, Nassib played collegiately at Penn State.
Clarke played in 15 games for Tampa Bay last season, recording 29 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
