Saturday night the Tampa Bay Rays celebrated the 10th anniversary of the 2008 team that became the first in franchise history to make the postseason, and the only club to win the American League pennant, defeating the Boston red Sox in seven games.
Watch Rays Radio broadcasters Andy Freed and Dave Wills introduce 20 players from the 2008 club, along with three former coaches along with the widow of senior baseball advisor Don Zimmer. Then Akinori Iwamura, who recorded the final out of the 2008 American League Championship Series and flew 7,500 miles to be at the reunion, threw out the ceremonial first pitch to his double play partner Jason Bartlett.
