We all knew the Bucs would be taking a running back at some point in this year's NFL Draft. They got their guy with the 6th pick in the 2nd round. Jason Licht in the Bucs took Ronald Jones out of USC with the 38th overall pick. Tampa Bay likely chose between Jones and LSU RB, Derrius Guice with that pick. Jones was one of Sam Darnold's best weapons last year for the Trojans. The 205 lb running back had a fantastic junior season last year. He ran for 1,550 yards and 19 TDs and also had one touchdown through the air. Jones NFL comparison is Jamaal Charles according to Todd McShay of ESPN. Jones will likely have a chance to compete for the starting running back role with Peyton Barber.
