Bucs Select Defensive Tackle Vita Vea in 1st Rd

After trading the seventh pick to the Buffalo Bills in the first round in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers added another piece to their defensive line by selecting Defensive Tackle Vita Vea from the University of Washington.  Vea 6'5 340 lbs, ran a 5.1 40 yard dash at the combine & because of his size has been compared to Defensive Tackle Haloti Ngata.  Vea, along with Jason Pierre-Paul, Vinnie Curry, Bo Allen & Mitch Unrein becomes the fifth new defensive linemen the Buccaneers have added to the team this off-season.

The Buccaneers trade included trading their seventh pick overall, along with a seventh round pick & received in return the Bills' twelfth pick overall & two second round picks, the 53rd & 56th pick in the NFL Draft.
