Snell Looks To Make It Two In A Row For Rays

ST. PETERSBURG (620 WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays will look to start the 2018 season 2-0 tonight when they take on the Boston Red Sox at Tropicana Field.  Blake Snell (5-7, 4.04 ERA in 2017) will get the start, taking on former Rays left-hander David Price (6-3, 3.38 ERA in 2017).  First pitch is scheduled for 7:10, with coverage on WDAE starting at 6:00 with The Inside Pitch presented by Crown Eurocars.

NOTES: According to Elias Sports Bureau, the Rays rally from down 4-0 in the eighth inning to win is the first time they've come back from down four runs or more in the eighth inning since "Game 162" on September 28, 2011, when they cane back from down 7-0 in the eighth to win 8-7 in 11 innings.  With his eighth inning walk Thursday, Kevin Kiermaier extended his career-high on-base streak to 21 consecutive games, dating back to September 4, 2017.
