More Cuts Made By Rays

PORT CHARLOTTE (620 WDAE) -- During Sunday's game, the Tampa Bay Rays announced they had pared the roster by seven more players.

Infielders Willy Adames and Christian Arroyo, first baseman Jake Bauers and outfielder Justin Williams were all optioned to the minor leagues, while catcher Brett Sullivan and outfielder Joe McCarthy were reassigned to minor-league camp and left-handed reliever Dan Runzler was released.

This comes on the heels of right-handed pitchers Diego Castillo, Jose Mujica and Hunter Wood all being optioned to the minors and Ryan Weber being reassigned to minor-league camp prior to the game.

The major league spring training roster now stands at 47 players.
