Rays Return Home To Face Blue Jays

PORT CHARLOTTE (620 WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays will look to rebound from dropping both games over the weekend in Fort Myers by welcoming the Toronto Blue Jays to Charlotte Sports Park.  Chris Archer will make his 2018 Grapefruit League debut, taking on Ryan Borucki.  First pitch is scheduled for 1:05.

Manager Kevin Cash said before Monday's game that he doesn't expect to use C.J. Cron as a platoon at first base.

"He's established himself with limited at-bats and not consistent reps," Cash said.  "I think our goal is to try and find him as many consistent at-bats."

Cash also said Brad Miller could see time at second base this spring, though it's expected he'll likely see a large majority of time either at first or designated hitter.

Listen to Cash's comments on Cron and Miller, what he expects from Chris Archer today, and why he's not concerned about reliever Jaime Schultz's lower velocity below!

UPDATE 11:12 AM: The Toronto Blue Jays have released their lineup for today's game.
