The Tampa Bay Lightning lost Victor Hedman to a lower body injury for three to six weeks and now will have to handle another significant injury to a top player.
The Lightning announced Monday that Ondrej Palat will miss the next six to eight weeks with a lower-body injury.
Palat was speared in Saturday's loss to the Minnesota Wild by Jared Spurgeon and had been sent back to Tampa for additional testing.
