Kiffin Says Tagovailoa Was Ready To Transfer

Did Nick Saban perhaps save the Alabama legacy by changing quarterbacks at halftime of the National Championship Game?

Saban went from a struggling Jalen Hurts to freshman Tua Tagovailoa against the Bulldogs and rallied from a 20-7 third quarter deficit to win his fifth national title with Alabama (and sixth overall) with a 26-23 overtime contest.  It's probably a good thing because his former offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who is now the head coach at Florida Atlantic, told Dan Patrick Tuesday that if he hadn't played in the game that Tagovailoa was ready to leave Tuscaloosa.
