Sunday night in Gainesville, led by Guard Jalen Hudson, who scored 26 points & grabbed seven rebounds, the Florida Gators improved to 3-0 with a 70-63 win over New Nampshire.
Although the Gators shot just 32% for the game & went into halftime tied at 32, they outscored New Hampshire 38-31 in the second half, including a 9-0 run that put the Gators up for good.
Gators Guard Egor Kouchelov, who came into the game averaging 23 points per game & was a major part in the Gators breaking the century mark in their first two games of the year, shot 4 for 14, scored just 14 points but did secure 10 rebounds, leading to his second straight double-double.
Next up for the Gators is a first round match-up Thanksgiving Night 10pm vs Stanford in the Phil Knight Invitational being held in Portland, Oregon. On Friday in the invitational, the Gators will play either Ohio State or Gonzaga.
