TAMPA (620 WDAE) -- The first step to a new baseball stadium in Tampa has been reached.
Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan revealed to WFLA's Jeff Patterson the location of the land deal that is being slotted for a new Rays stadium.
The stadium would be located at the intersection of Channelside Drive and Adamo Drive in the Ybor City section.

Patterson joined Pat Donovan and Aaron Jacobson on The Steve Duemig Show Tuesday to discuss some of the details that still need to be ironed out (namely parking and infrastructure).
The Rays released a statement from president Brian Auld regarding the announcement.
