From Storm PR – The Arena Football League announced that Tampa Bay Storm defensive back LaRoche Jackson was named the Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in week ten versus the Washington Valor.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jackson (5-foot-11, 205 lbs., Clark) played an instrumental role in the Storm’s 58-57 comeback win versus the Washington Valor in week 10. He led the game with 7.0 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
However, the six-year veteran’s greatest impact occurred on what would have been a game-winning two-point conversion for the Valor. With the Valor down by one point, Jackson broke up a pass intended for Valor receiver Greg Carr, preserving the win for the Storm.
This is Jackson’s first weekly award and the eighth for the Storm.

Offensive Player honors went to Philadelphia QB Dan Raudabaugh, who became the 10th in AFL history to surpass 30,000 yards for his career. Philly is 8-0 and hosts the Storm (7-1) this Saturday at 7 p.m.
