Jefry Marte scampered home on a Ryne Stanek wild pitch in the 7th inning as the Angels defeated the Rays 3-2 on Monday night at Tropicana Field.

Cameron Maybin got the scoring started for the Angels when he singled to lead off the game and later came home on an Andrelton Simmons sacrifice fly to make it 1-0.

That lead didn't last very long.

Rays leadoff hitter Corey Dickerson drove a 2-0 pitch into the stands in left to tie the game at one. That was Dickerson's 5th leadoff homer of the season, and 12th overall.  Three batters later, the Rays took the lead on a solo shot to deep right by first baseman Logan Morrison, also his 12th of the season.

The score stayed that way until the top of the 5th when Maybin hit a towering shot to left that hit off of the "C" ring and was ruled a home run by the umpires on the field.
