Alonso 6, Plant City 1
Marc DeGusipe threw five shutout innings to lead the Ravens to a win on Saturday afternoon. The Alonso lefthander gave up only two hits and two walks to keep the Raiders offense off-balanced.
Sehjin Daley picked up the first RBI to give the Ravens the lead and then a two-run single by Andrew Lara put Alonso up for good. Jordan Butler added a two-run double.
Plant City picked up their only run on an RBI single by JJ Gonzalez in the 6th.
Berkeley Prep 7, Lakeland 4
Julian Bosnic and Michael Hill each went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Sam Bennett threw five solid innings to help lead the Buccaneers to victory.
Khalib Bayona went 2 for 4 with an RBI himself, and both he and Carson Weekley had two runs scored.
