Seffner Christian 19, Bell Creek Academy 6 (five innings)

Will Gilbert led the way offensively for Seffner Christian (7-3) with three hits, and five RBI including a bases clearing double off the centerfield fence. Bobby Wellen earned the win with four innings of work with six strikeouts.

 

Berkeley Prep 5, Orlando The First Academy 1

Julian Bosnic struck out 12 over six innings of work as Berkeley Prep (6-6) topped The First Academy. Khalib Bayona went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI, Tucker Fine was 3-for-4, Spencer Myers was 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored and Gordon Stetson had a double, an RBI and scored a run.

 

Jesuit 14, Middleton 0 (five innings)

Jesuit senior Drew Martin (four innings, 8 strikeouts) and junior Connor Price (one inning, three strikeouts) combined for a five-inning no-hitter in district play at Middleton. Freshman Bennett Lee went 3-for-3 with an RBI, Price added a double and RBI at the plate, Daniel LoSauro tripled and had an RBI, and Carter Anderson drove in three for Jesuit.

 

Cambridge Christian 12, Dixie Hollins 11

Austin Hessinger earned the win for Cambridge Christian (9-3) in relief. On offense Sevas Cardona went 2-for-3 with two RBI and four stolen bases and Duane Drummond was 1-for-1, scoring three times and stealing three bases.

Countryside 1, Bloomingdale 0

A tough loss for Bloomingdale pitcher Alexys Lawson, who allowed one unearned run on three hits, while striking out 14.

 

Tampa Catholic 6, Robinson 5

Sophomore Alexa Russo went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI and Gabby Burleigh drove in a pair in the Crusaders win. Junior Claire White was 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI, while Cassidy Renninger doubled for Robinson.

 

Durant 7, Gaither 0

Senior pitcher Sloan Hammons struck out 10 in a shutout win for the Cougars. Hammons, Kelly Swank, and Kayla Lissy also had extra-base hits for Durant on offense.

 

Newsome 4, Pinellas Park 0

Mary Beth Feldman improved to 5-1 on the season with a complete-game shutout over Pinellas Park with seven strikeouts. Senior Maddie Lynn went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored, Maggie Trgo was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and junior Abbie McColl also had a double and RBI for Newsome (6-5).

 

Chamberlain 5, Tarpon Springs 1

Junior Shannon Maloney earned the win for Chamberlain (11-0).

 

Academy of the Holy Names 3, Freedom 1

Palm Harbor 12 Plant 1 (five innings)
