From Tampa Bay Rays PR Tuesday:
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.―The Tampa Bay Rays and 7-Eleven® today announced a new partnership for the 2017 season.
The Rays and 7-Eleven have worked together to create a comprehensive partnership program designed to add more value to 7-Eleven customers, further support Rays Friday night ticketing efforts, and emphasize the company’s commitment to our community through key community engagement programs.
$7.11 Fridays presented by 7-Eleven: For all Friday home games, fans may purchase Upper Level tickets for only $7.11. To take advantage of this special price, fans should visit a participating local 7-Eleven store and pick up the Rays Friday night discount coupon. The coupon code will be redeemable online or at the Tropicana Field Box Office. Each coupon will be good for up to four (4) tickets. Coupons for this special offer are currently available at your local, participating 7-Eleven stores.
In addition to $7.11 Fridays, the Rays and 7-Eleven will work together to further promote:
• 7-Eleven Project A-Game®: Project A-Game is a community outreach program created to provide meaningful youth development opportunities in the neighborhoods surrounding 7-Eleven stores. 7-Eleven franchisees can sponsor education, fitness, safety or hunger relief activities, so children establish a strong foundation that supports their future success.
• Be Water Smart from the Start: The Rays have teamed up with local YMCAs, the United Way Suncoast, the Juvenile Welfare Board and the Children's Board of Hillsborough County to remind children and families to be water smart from the start. The program provides access to life-saving water safety programs to both children and their parents through their local YMCAs in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. • Rays Community Policing Initiative teams up with 7-Eleven Operation Chill®: Since 2015, the Rays and local Bay Area Police Departments have teamed up to reward good citizenship with youth in the community by providing free ticket vouchers to local police to distribute in an effort to form positive relationships with the neighborhoods they serve. Since 1995, 7-Eleven Operation Chill has aimed to enhance relations between stores, police and youth. Operation Chill allows Bay Area Police Departments to “ticket” youngsters they observe doing good deeds or exhibiting positive behavior with a special coupon good for a free small Slurpee® drink at any participating 7-Eleven store.
Florida has seen an increase in 7-Eleven stores in recent years, and the world’s largest convenience retailer has no plans of slowing down. In 2017, 7-Eleven will continue to expand its presence by opening 40 new stores in Florida.
