After trailing for all of the first half, the 16th ranked Florida State Seminoles (25-7, 13-6) advanced to the ACC Semifinals at the Barclays Center by beating Virginia Tech (22-10, 10-9)
The Seminoles trailed 35-33 at the end of the half, but then outscored the Hokies 41-33 in the 2nd half. A 10-0 run by the Seminoles with just over 17 minutes left in the game put the Florida State up for good.
Sophomore guard Dwayne Bacon led three Seminoles in double figures with 17 points, although he shot just 4/17 from the field. The Seminoles, who outrebounded the Hokies 45-31, were led in the rebound department by freshman forward Jonathan Isaac with 12, who also scored 11 points. Hokies' senior forward Zach Leday led all scorers with 22 points.
Florida State, who will play in the second semifinal game on Friday, now awaits the winner of the Notre Dame vs Virginia ACC quarterfinals matchup.
