CASH SAYS SNELL'S NEXT STEP WILL COME NATURALLY: LHP Blake Snell, getting the start Monday in Clearwater, will look to grow in his first full big-league season, and manager Kevin Cash says that growth should come for him

"I think he's going to actually do that pretty naturally," Cash said Monday.  "You look at last year, to be able get him 15 starts.  In some looked really good.  In some there were inconsistencies.  Saying that, if you look at his overall performance, it was pretty good for a young pitcher.  I think that will vault him into a higher confidence level going in to this season."

Cash said the biggest step for his lefty is to establish his fastball command.

LONGORIA READY TO PLAY: Cash said third baseman Evan Longoria, who battled an illness last week, is ready to make his Grapefruit League debut, and will do so Tuesday at Charlotte Sports Park when he plays third base against the Minnesota Twins.  He'll then DH Wednesday when the Phillies come to Port Charlotte for the first time this spring.
