The Tampa Bay Rays may finally have a decision from free-agent catcher Matt Wieters.
Jon Heyman of FanRagSports is reporting the catcher is close to reaching a deal to become a member of the Washington Nationals.
According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay offered Wieters a one-year deal, but Joel Sherman of the New York Post says Wieters got a two-year deal from Nats GM Mike Rizzo, with Heyman adding the deal will include an opt out after the first year.
