Morrison Could Be Returning To Rays

The Rays may be bringing back a familiar face for the 2017 season.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports is reporting that first baseman Logan Morrison has agreed to a one-year deal to come back to Tampa Bay.

Morrison, 29, played in 107 games for Tampa Bay in 2016.  Despite not recording an RBI until May 17, he went on to finish with 14 home runs and 43 RBI while hitting .238 / .319 / .414.

The team has not confirmed the signing, but would also need to make a corresponding move to add Morrison to the roster, as the 40-man roster is currently full.
