Lightning Fall To Penguins For Second Straight Loss

The Pittsburgh Penguins (14-7-5) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (16-9-2) 4-3 on Thursday night at Benchmark International Arena. It was the second consecutive loss for Tampa Bay.

The Penguins built a 3-0 lead before the Lightning got on the board - Tampa Bay was able to tie the game thanks to a goal from Nikita Kucherov and two goals from Brandon Hagel. Evgeni Malkin's second goal of the game would prove to be the game winner when he scored at the 17:17 mark of the third to give Pittsburgh a 4-3 win.

The Lightning are next in action when they host the New York Islanders on Saturday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Islanders is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Saturday night at Benchmark International Arena.
