Lightning Beat Predators In OT

The Tampa Bay Lightning (6-3-0) defeated the Nashville Predators (3-5-1) 3-2 in overtime on Monday night at Amalie Arena.

It was an emotional night as long-time Lightning captain Steven Stamkos returned Amalie Arena for the first time since signing with the Nashville Predators this offseason. During the first television timeout the Lightning played a tribute victory honoring his long tenure in Tampa Bay.

Tied 2-2 in after three, it would be Nick Paul coming through with the game-winning goal to lift Tampa Bay to the win.

The Lightning now go on the road for the next four games beginning when they travel to Colorado to play the Avalanche on Wednesday night. Puck drop on Wednesday is scheduled for 9:00 PM from Denver.
