USF Falls To #4 Alabama

The 4th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0) defeated the USF Bulls (1-1) 42-16 on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa. Alabama scored three touchdowns in the final 5:50 to pull away late.

USF scored first to make it 3-0 before falling behind 7-3 in the second quarter. Trailing 14-6 in the third quarter, the Bulls got their lone touchdown when Ta'Ron Keith ran in a two-yard score to pull within 14-13.

That would be as close as the Bulls got - Alabama scored a touchdown early in the fourth to make it 21-13. After the Bulls kicked another field goal to make it 21-16, Alabama scored three late touchdowns to turn this game into a blowout.

The Bulls next return to action when they go to Southern Mississippi. Kickoff in that game is scheduled for 7:00 PM on September 14th in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
