Lightning Earn Fifth Straight Win

The Tampa Bay Lightning (24-17-5) defeated the Buffalo Sabres (20-22-4) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in Buffalo. The win is marks a season-long five game winning streak for Tampa Bay.

Nick Paul and Tyler Motte scored fifty-two seconds apart in the first period to set the tone in this win. Jonas Johansson got the start in net in the first game of a back-to-back - he went 26-of-27 in saves to get the win.

The Lightning now head to Detroit where they'll play the Red Wings in the second game of a back-to-back on Sunday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Red Wings is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Sunday night in Detroit.
