Buccaneers Leave New Orleans With 26-9 Win Over Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (26-9) defeated the New Orleans Saints (2-2) 26-9 on Sunday afternoon in New Orleans.

Baker Mayfield set the pace going 25-for-32 with 246 yards passing, including three touchdowns and one interception. When star receiver Mike Evans was pulled from the game after making three catches for 40 yards with a hamstring injury, Chris Godwin stepped up. He finished with eight catches for 114 yards on the night.

Derek Carr, who had been dealing with a shoulder injury for the Saints, was largely ineffective, going 23-for-37 with 127 yards through the air. The Buccaneers defense kept the Saints offense without a touchdown on the game, as New Orleans kicked three field goals for their only scores.

The Buccaneers now have an early bye week in week five. They return to action on October 15th when they host the Detroit Lions at Raymond James Stadium - kickoff in that week is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
