Padres Shut Out Rays To Even Series

The San Diego Padres (34-36) shut out the Tampa Bay Rays (51-23) 2-0 on Saturday evening in San Diego.

Former Ray Blake Snell (3-6, 3.48) was dominant for San Diego, pitching six shutout innings in which he allowed just two hits while striking out twelve and walking three. He outdueled Zach Eflin (8-3, 3.26) who allowed just two earned runs - on weakly hit balls to the infield - in his six innings of work.
