Bruins Beat Lightning For 13th Consecutive Win

The Boston Bruins (19-3-0) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (13-8-1) 3-1 on Tuesday night in Boston. It was the 13th consecutive win for Tampa Bay.

Steven Stamkos scored a power play goal in the second period - his 999th NHL point - to tie the game 1-1. However, the Bruins got a goal from Taylor Hall (his second of the game) to take the lead for good. Brad Marchand added an empty net goal with fourty-one seconds to go to clinch the win.

Andrei Vasilevskiy went 23-for-25 in net for the Lightning in the loss.

The Lightning now head to Philadelphia to play the Flyers on Thursday night. Puck drop between Tampa Bay and Philadelphia is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday.
