Josh Wells (6-6, 306) was placed on Injured Reserve on September 21, after appearing in two games, with one start at left tackle, for the Buccaneers this season. He has appeared in 47 regular season games over the last three seasons for Tampa Bay, making nine starts. He has also played in all six Buccaneers postseason games over the past two seasons. For his career, Wells has appeared in 86 regular season games and nine total playoff games with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buccaneers.
Wells entered the league as a college free agent with Jacksonville in 2014, where he spent his first four NFL seasons (2014-18), playing in 52 games. A native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Wells played collegiately at James Madison. He wears No. 72 for Tampa Bay.
David Wells (6-6, 260) was a member of Tampa Bay’s practice squad in Weeks 2-3 of this season after spending training camp with the Tennessee Titans. He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. He has since spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs (2018-19), New England Patriots (2020-21), Atlanta Falcons (2021), Indianapolis Colts (2021) and Arizona Cardinals (2021) prior to signing with the Titans this past training camp.
Wells has appeared in three career games, with one start, all for the Arizona Cardinals in 2021. The Clovis, California, native was a two-time All-Mountain West selection at San Diego State (2013-17). He will wear No. 89 for Tampa Bay.
