The Bucs got back into the win column and snapped a two-game losing streak on Sunday with a 21-15 win over the visiting Falcons. Tampa Bay now has a two-game lead in the NFC South division with victories over New Orleans and Atlanta. Tom Brady and the Bucs’ passing game powered the offense, while Tampa Bay’s run defense rebounded against a very good Atlanta run game.
Here are this week’s most impressive Bucs as Tampa Bay improved to 3-2 on the year.
QB Tom Brady
Brady started off the game 0-for-3 and then rebounded quickly. The Bucs continued to struggle running the ball, but turned to the passing game and found a huge amount of success against an overmatched Falcons secondary. Brady completed 24-of-33 passes for 256 yards in the first half and kept firing away in the second. He hit Fournette with a 1-yard touchdown pass and gave Tampa Bay a 21-0 lead after a 2-point conversion pass to Russell Gage. The offensive line play was hit-and-miss, but Brady was on the mark for the most part. He finished 35-of-52 for 351 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.
