The Florida State Seminoles (1-0) began the 2022 football season with a 47-7 win over Duquesne. Duquesne is a FCS team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Florida State built a 26-0 lead at halftime and led 33-0 before the Dukes got on the board. Quarterback Jordan Travis went 11-for-15 with 207 yards passing - he also added eleven yards and a touchdown on the ground. Treshaun Ward, Trey Benson and Lawrance Toafili all ran for more than 100 yards each as the Seminoles went for 406 total yards on the ground.
Florida State returns to action on Sunday September 4th when they go on the road to take on LSU. Kickoff from New Orleans is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Sunday night.
