WATCH: It Takes a Special Breed to Compete in Slap-Fighting Championships

These are just some of the highlights of the 2022 Slap Fighting Championships, held this past Saturday at the Arnold (Schwarzenegger) Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

If you've never seen this before, just a quick summation of the rules: Three judges score the fight, a knockout determines the winner. If there is no knockout, judges decide a winner if a competitor can withstand three rounds of slaps (one slap per competitor) and can continue after 30 seconds of being slapped.

The competitors have to stand and take the slaps.

It definitely takes a certain kind of bravery, or would you call it craziness, to do this.

The main event featured Dawid “Zales” Zalewski (16-0) vs. Koa “Da Crazy Hawaiian” Viernes (9-0) for the Slap Fighting Championship Super Heavyweight title, highlights of which you can view in the video.
