The man who holds most NHL records, the Great One, Wayne Gretzky, is not only pretty good at hockey, but isn't a bad golfer as well.
Gretzky, in his final golf round of 2020, made a hole-in-one at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, CA on New Year's Eve, his first ever.
TMZ Sports reports that Gretzky used a 9-iron on the par-3 sixth hole, which was playing 140 yards. Masters champ Dustin Johnson, who is engaged to Gretzky’s daughter Paulina, called from vacation in Hawaii to congratulate his future father-in-law.
The chances of making a hole-in-one? For a tour player, 3,000-to-1, for a low-handicapper, 5,000-to-1, and for an average player, 12,000-to-1.
The moral here: Never bet against the Great One! There's certainly nothing average about Gretzky.
