According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Tampa Bay Rays are on the verge of trading Cy Young Award winning pitcher Blake Snell to the San Diego Padres for prospects
In 108 career starts for Tampa Bay, Snell has posted a 42-30 record with an ERA of 3.24 since 2016. During Snell's Cy Young Award winning 2018 season, he finished the year with a record of 21-5 with a 1.89 ERA. According to several reports, the trade will not be finalized till all physicals are passed.
The Tampa Bay Rays will receive four major prospects in the San Diego Padres farm system.
