A Texas high school defensive tackle finds himself in trouble Friday morning after assaulting a referee following his ejection from a game Thursday night.
A player identified by a local reporter as Emmanuel Duron, a star defensive tackle for Edinburg High School, was ejected for unsportsmanlike contact after a late hit on the quarterback of Edinburg's opponent, PSJA High School.
The official was evaluated for a concussion and potential shoulder injury. He did not return to the game.
Duron was escorted from the field by police, who provided no further comment on his status.
