The Florida Gators (3-1) won their first game after a three-week layoff because of a COVID outbreak as they defeated the Missouri Tigers (2-3) 41-17 on Saturday night at the Swamp.
The game was a wild one, which saw a brawl unfold at the end of the first half. It began after Gators quarterback Kyle Trask took what appeared to be a late hit from Missouri's Trajan Jeffcoat on the final play of the quarter as the half expired. Several players came to his defense - including Florida coach Dan Mullen, who had some choice words for the officials and Missouri coaches - and ultimately three players were ejected after punches were thrown.
Trask had himself a game, becoming the first player in school history with four touchdown passes in four games. Kadarius Toney scored three times for the Gators to lead the way, twice rushing (he finished with sixty yards rushing on the night) and once through the air.
The Gators are next scheduled to play on Sunday as they have a top ten showdown with number five Georgia scheduled. Kickoff from Georgia is scheduled for 3:30 PM on November 7th.
