The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) defeated the Green Bay Packers (4-1) 38-10 on Sunday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium.
The game started well for the Packers, as they built a 10-0 first quarter lead. The Buccaneers began to answer in the second quarter, though, as the defense forced Aaron Rodgers to create some turnovers. First Jamel Dean intercepted Aaron Rodgers and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown. Then Rodgers was intercepted again, this time by Mike Edwards and moments later Ronald Jones scored to give the Buccaneers a 14-10 lead. Tom Brady had two touchdown passes in the final five minutes of the second quarter - one to rookie Tyler Johnson and another to tight end Rob Gronkowski - to take control and a 28-10 lead into halftime.
The Buccaneers got a 50-yard field goal from Ryan Succop, as well as a Ronald Jones second touchdown of the game, in the third quarter to take a 38-10 lead. In addition to the two touchdowns, Ronald Jones led the way with 113 yards on the ground for Tampa Bay. Tom Brady went 17-for-27 with 166 yards and two touchdowns, while Aaron Rodgers went 16-for-35 with 160 yards and two interceptions in the losing effort.
The Buccaneers are next scheduled to play on Sunday Night Football next weekend when they travel to Las Vegas to battle the Raiders. Kickoff next Sunday night is scheduled for 8:20 PM.
