Rays Wrap Up Full Squad Workouts With Short Day

PORT CHARLOTTE (WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays wrapped up their slate of full-squad workouts with a session of pop-up drills on a chilly, overcast day. The wind, which continued to change directions throughout the drill, also played havoc with the players.

"It was like a tornado out there," shortstop Willy Adames said after the drill.

Still, there were plenty of highlight-worthy catches, including one from Daniel Robertson who picked up teammate Ji-Man Choi when the latter lost the baseball due to the sky and wind.

STARTING LINEUP FOR SATURDAY REVEALED: The Rays also put out the starting lineup for their Grapefruit League opener Saturday in Fort Myers against the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Trevor Richards will get the start for Tampa Bay. First pitch from JetBlue Park in Fort Myers is scheduled for 1:05, with coverage on 95.3 WDAE beginning at noon with The Inside Pitch.
