Most Disappointing: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons

The Bucs blew a chance to take a two-score lead that would have put the game close to out of reach, but missed kicks kept Atlanta in the game. The Falcons were able to take advantage of the Bucs inability to put them away and kicked a field goal to tie it up at the end of regulation. On the first play of overtime, Jameis Winston’s pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown, giving the Bucs a 28-22 loss and a 7-9 to finish the season.

Here were the most disappointing players from the game.

K Matt Gay

Gay missed three field goals on the afternoon from 49, 44, and 34 yards away. The second missed kick by Gay had a bad snap but both the second and third kicks would have put the Bucs up nine points, making it a two-possession game. The Bucs should have been well ahead if it wasn’t for the missed kicks, and each time it killed momentum that the Bucs had just built. This was the not the way that Gay wanted to end his year with a long offseason ahead.
