Bucs Finding Other Offensive Weapons The Organic Way

The Buccaneers won a game this past Sunday against the Jaguars with their third receiver leading the team in receiving yards & their offensive coordinator stated the results in the passing game happened organically.

Offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich held his usual press conference with the media on Thursday. And while winning their second game in a row overall may not have been a surprise, what was a surprise was who led the team in receiving yards. In 10 of their previous 11 games this year before their win in Jacksonville, the Buccaneers each game were led in receiving yards by either Mike Evans or their other starting wide receiver Chris Godwin. But against the Jaguars, wide receiver Breshad Perriman, who entered the game with 11 receptions on the season, had five catches for 87 yards. And Leftwich emphasized the amount of targets Perriman received this past Sunday developed organically.
