Rays Start Final Homestand, Wong Heads To Halos

ST. PETERSBURG (WDAE) -- The Tampa Bay Rays will begin their final home series of the 2019 regular season, as the New York Yankees come to town for a two-game series. WONG OFF TO WEST COAST: The Tampa Bay Rays announced Tuesday that infielder Kean Wong has been claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels.

Wong appeared in six games with the Rays after being called up from Triple-A Durham, going 3 for 14 and scoring a run. He was designated for assignment Sunday when brandon Lowe was activated from the 60-day injured list.
