WONG OFF TO WEST COAST: The Tampa Bay Rays announced Tuesday that infielder Kean Wong has been claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels.
Wong appeared in six games with the Rays after being called up from Triple-A Durham, going 3 for 14 and scoring a run. He was designated for assignment Sunday when brandon Lowe was activated from the 60-day injured list.
