Backup Jobs Could Be Settled In Second Half On Friday Night

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Cleveland Browns on Friday night & for some players it will be crucial to take advantage of what may be their final opportunity to impress the coaching staff well enough to be around the Advent Health Training Center after August 31st.

Granted the Buccaneers won't play their final preseason game until Thursday August 29th in Dallas, two days before their roster needs to be trimmed to 53. But there are still approximately 90 players inside the locker room. And because of that number, opportunities to stand out from other players who are battling for a roster spot are at a premium. Which is why Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians stated on Wednesday during his interview with the media that jobs will be at stake during the second half of Friday night's game.
