For the third straight practice, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston completed the team drills without throwing an interception. But for the second straight day, the defense may have lost a starter due to injury.
Winston, who met with the media prior to the training camp practice on Tuesday, started the team's 11 on 11 drills looking sharp & completed the pass in the video below to one of his tight ends.
Not long after completing that pass to Auclair, Winston took his turn in the team's drills again & threw this sideline pass seen below to wide receiver Breshad Perriman.
After the team's practice, Head Coach Bruce Arians spoke to the media & discussed that several of the players that didn't practice on Tuesday are dealing with pulled muscles. Arians added that rookie cornerback Jamel Dean, who has missed three straight practices, is dealing with a hip flexor injury. But the worst injury issue occurred during the team's one on one linemen drills. As you can see in the video below, defensive lineman Vita Vea falls to the ground during a one on one drill with center Ryan Jensen & grabs his left knee before getting back to his feet.
Vea left practice early but was able to leave the field without needing any assistance. This injury comes one day after the team announced that starting inside linebacker Lavonte David had minor surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Arians was unable to provide any further update after practice on Vea's injury. But Arians did crack a joke after practice when he was asked how he was feeling personally. The coach responded by smiling & saying, "I'll be doing much better when I find out what's wrong with Vea." Those words were spoken by their coach but were the sentiments held by many Bucs fans on Tuesday night.
