Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jamies Winston & wide receiver Chris Godwin met with the media on Tuesday. Each player discussed their off-season, their initial impressions of new Head Coach Bruce Arians & the changes to their roster including losing players on offense like wide receivers Adam Humphries & DeSean Jackson.
With the departure of Humphries & Jackson, Godwin, entering his third year, is now one of the veterans of the receiver core. Godwin was asked if that changes how he prepares for the upcoming season. And his response is in the video below.
Godwin will look to improve on his 842 yards from last year & to do so, Winston must make him a bigger part of the offense in 2019. Speaking of bigger, Arians earlier this off-season stated that he wanted Winston to play quarterback at 250 lbs this season. And since then, there have been a lot of conversations about how that will affect Winston's skillset. But when asked about playing at a heavier weight, as you can see from the video below, Winston made it clear, the extra weight will not be a big deal because he played last year at 245 lbs.
