After releasing Bryan Anger on Tuesday, the Bucs aren’t done making roster moves to the kicking game. According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the Bucs are expected to sign former 49ers punter Bradley Pinion to a four-year deal.
Pinion spent four years on the 49ers and averaged 43.7 yards per punt during the 2018 season. He also handled kickoff duties for the team, which is an important factor for the Bucs that could signal a return of field goal kicker Cairo Santos, who doesn’t have the strongest leg on kickoffs. Pinion could take over that role, letting Santos focus primarily on field goals and extra points if they were to re-sign him.
