Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sign RB Andre Ellington

(via Tampa Bay Buccaneers Communications) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has signed running back Andre Ellington.

Ellington (5-9, 200) has played in 65 career regular season games, with 17 starts, rushing 418 times for 1,752 yards (4.2 avg.) and 10 touchdowns, while catching 151 passes for 1,368 yards and three touchdowns. Ellington originally entered the NFL as sixth-round pick (187th overall) of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played for Arizona from 2013-17, before being waived and joining the Houston Texans. In 2014, Ellington led the Cardinals in rushing yards (660) and rushing touchdowns (three). He totaled over 1,000 yards from scrimmage in each of his first two seasons. A native of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Ellington played collegiately at Clemson.
