Zac Blobner and Len Martez spent a large part of their show Saturday discussing offseason hypotheticals when it comes to Buccaneers players that could be leaving and other players that could be good fits, but when Zac mentioned about the possibility of cutting tight end Cameron Brate and going after safety Tyrann Mathieu with the money the team saves, WTSP sports anchor Justin Granit told him to pump the brakes.
Granit pointed out that Jameis Winston's two "safety blankets," guys that he feels most comfortable throwing to when he needs someone to make the catch, are Brate and Adam Humphries, and with Humphries an unrestricted free agent, you don't want to see both players leave and leave your quarterback with no safety valve.
The guys also discuss the possible departure of Gerald McCoy, Desean Jackson's situation and even get into the Lightning and their matchup against the Sharks tonight.
